Descimco is an entrepreneur working in the industrial sector of mechanics and piping. We are currently looking for a project manager in civil or industrial mechanical engineering for our sites in the Montreal and Montérégie regions. Under the supervision of the Director of Construction , the project manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of each of the stages of the projects by coordinating all the phases of their realization.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and monitoring of the working operations;
- Prepare timelines;
- Participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of daily construction tasks;
- Ensure the follow-up of supplies;
- Communicate with customers and suppliers;
- Participate in security visits and meetings;
Manage change requests and contractual requirements; - Ensure that the financial requirements of the project are met and that the coding procedure is followed;
- Coordinate quality assurance;
- Establish working methods and coordinate them between the various project stakeholders.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree or DEC in mechanical engineering, civil engineering or equivalent;
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in multidisciplinary construction project management;
- Permit from the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (an asset);
- Strong knowledge of computer softwares (mainly in MS Project and Autocad);
- A very good knowledge of plans and estimations;
- Health and safety training on a construction site (ASP).
