ORGANIZATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
The Elem Group is a company that provides shared services to a group of businesses operating in the institutional, industrial, and commercial construction, prefabrication, and engineering sectors in Québec City, Montréal, and Toronto. The administrative services team is recognized for its dynamism, rigor, and continuous improvement of its practices in order to meet the expectations of a diverse clientele.
Under the supervision of management, the Sales Representative is responsible for business development for all corporate entities within the group operating in the construction sector. He or she acts as an ambassador for the group with current and prospective clients, ensuring revenue growth and the development of long-term business relationships.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the client base and increase the group’s market share;
- Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities (public sector, private sector, and engineering firms) across Canada outside Québec;
- Maintain and strengthen strong relationships with existing clients, partners, and project owners;
- Present the group’s service offerings and coordinate customized solutions tailored to client needs;
- Work closely with internal teams (operations, estimating, management) to ensure consistent and competitive responses to calls for tenders;
- Follow up on bids, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements;
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and developments within the construction industry;
- Participate in business events, client meetings, and networking activities;
- Prepare sales reports and revenue forecasts for management.
YOU HAVE
- Education in administration, sales, management, or a related field (an asset);
- Relevant sales experience in the industrial sector and CAPEX projects;
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry and its stakeholders;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple divisions;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
- Proficiency in computer tools (CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite);
- Valid driver’s license and availability for travel.
