In order to improve the secondary treatment of its HUMBER wastewater treatment plant, the city of Toronto requested that we take on multiple electrical, instrumentation, communications and systems integration responsibilities for upgrades to the south plant. In addition, we handled the new north and south substations, which included various work on power transformers, 600V switchgear, motor control centers, lighting, instrumentation, RPUs, local control panel integration work, programming, paging and telephone systems, commissioning and start-up. Finally, we performed a complete upgrade of five aeration tanks, RAS/WAS systems, effluent PS and the ferrous chloride system. We also spearheaded the demolition of multiple existing systems.
